The Thymes-Tables is a book within a book. The main story takes place in the classroom of Mr. Row D, while the inner book is about a family that learns to multiply very quickly. This book is full of puns both good and bad as well as plenty of little tricks to help both kids and adults be a little better at math.
I hope you enjoy reading this book at least half as much as I enjoyed creating it, and I hope when you're done you like math at least a little bit more than you did before you started -- or at least hate it a little bit less.

I know this book is for young adults, but even thought I have quite a few decades in the rearview mirror of traditional school, I learned more about my times tables from these pages than I ever did sitting at the back Mrs. Peterson's fourth grade classroom. Fun facts and cool little tricks are delivered here within the framework of parallel story lines that follow the real kids in the math class and the fictional Thymes family of mathematical wizards. The puns and wordplay are clever, and yes, some are groan worthy, but it's a frustration-free way to learn the ins and outs of multiplication. Wish I'd had this book all those years ago. If you are, or know of, someone who is struggling to grasp the terrible times tables, I recommend this book.Product details
